Democrats say " Trust Government with your money "

Just as Democrats are trying to convince voters that it will save them money if they let the government take over the entire health care system, the Associated Press has released the following story;
"Medicare paid $47B in suspect claims
By Hope Yen The Associated Press Published: Sunday, November 15, 2009 at 3:30 a.m.

WASHINGTON | The government paid more than $47 billion in questionable Medicare claims, including medical treatment showing little relation to a patient’s condition, wasting taxpayer dollars at a rate nearly three times the previous year.

On the WebGovernment anti-fraud page:

Excerpts of a new federal report, obtained by The Associated Press, show a dramatic increase in improper payments in the $440 billion Medicare program that has been cited by government auditors as a high risk for fraud and waste for 20 years."

It doesn't take a rocket-scientist to figure out that if we put the government in charge of the entire health care industry, there will be a huge increase in the waste and abuse of the system, costing taxpayers tens of billions, possibly more, in additional wasted tax dollars. Working people who currently have health care will lose, and only the 10% who currently do not have health care insurance will benefit. But that is how socialism works, take from the productive and give to the non-productive. President Obama likes to call it "spreading the wealth around ...".

President Obama also likes to tell people that "if you like your current health care insurance, you'll be able to keep it ..." The only problem is, that's not true. A Macomb Daily survey conducted last month showed that 23 out of 43 companies it surveyed would choose to pay the government fine rather than continue to provide employees with coverage if there is a "government option" available. The Macomb Daily wrote "... the results of a small survey of local business owners conducted by The Macomb Daily, in conjunction with the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce, found the majority of respondents would pay the penalty and dump their health insurance benefits for employees."

Hopefully people are paying attention. If you've been wondering why Obama is attempting to "change" so much so fast, that is why. He wants to get Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to pass his Socialist legislative agenda before the public wakes up and says "Stop. We didn't elect you to turn our country into a Socialist state." The Democrat's may succeed in getting alot of Obama's socialist programs passed, but there will be a huge price for them to pay next year at the polls. It's beginning to look more and more like the conservatives will re-take control of the House of Representatives, and they will make large gains at the state level as well.

Here in Michigan it's all but assured that voters will elect a Republican Governor to replace Democrat Jennifer Granholm and her "Deputy", John Cherry. The Republicans look poised to make substantial gains in the legislature as well, with an outside chance of regaining the majority. The voters are not in a good mood, and they appear ready to take it out on the "majority party" in next years elections !

  1. The new Gallup poll is out showing that Americans do NOT want a public option. We know that if the govt runs health care with our money there will be theft like we have never seen in our history. I think it is part of the Cloward-Piven stratagy to "fundamentally change our nation". Brian I have the Gallup poll and Cloward-Piven write ups on my blog if you don't know what they are. I can't believe this guy took $20 million from our tax payers. But we hear it all the time. And somehow our greenpea president thinks because he is the President everything will change with just the words coming from his mouth. Kind of like how God created everything just by saying it. Maybe Barack Hussein Obama thinks he is a god.

Right on, Brian. Saying employees will be able to keep their present plans would be like telling all of the people out of work they could keep their jobs... it is always unless your employer thinks otherwise!

The other thing is the percentage of employers that will drop their plans will quickly go to 100, as they will have to compete with those that do it right away, they will have no choice.

Finally, no one will have insurance after a while. Even though "No insurance company can deny you coverage" and " No company can take pre-existing conditions into account", sounds good at first glance. It won't take long for everyone to simply stop paying premiums unless something catastrophic happens. As always, libs can never see unintended consequences in their actions!

  3. Wow Brian, i guess that your turning on your masters, huh? I reasearched the article a bit and most of the problems happened under the Bush admin. Whoops. Should we not trust government, or should we not trust republican run government?

Seems to me and i may be alittle off-topic (but hey aren't most of your fans responses too? yeah they are) but the 8 years of Bush admin were filled with extreme amounts of fraud and lack of accounting for taxpayer money. Perhaps if the admin had valued ability over political paybacks and party loyalty the various groups would have run better.

Its funny you so actively try to portray yourself as a small (C) conservative and yet turn out to be a kool aid drinker. Maybe you want some cornbread too. Your right though, government can run inefficient as much large corps do, but it seems to run even worse when those who oppose government get to run it.

  4. Joey - If you're so concerned about staying "on-topic", why don't you start your own blog where you can control everything, and force your many fans to stay ON TOPIC? You are really, really weird.

I don't recall reading the legislation that states a blog must stay dutifully "ON TOPIC". And frankly, you are the one that constantly takes the comments off-topic. Remember how you attacked homosexuals for no reason out of the blue? Or when you tried to take a discussion about politics into a guy's private life? And then you cry when someone challenges you about it! BWWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA

Gosh Joey, did you raise a clamor when all that Medicare abuse was, and still is, going on? At least even Bruce was, and still is, peeved about the Part D or whatever that was, and it sounds like rightfully so. So Bush expanded Medicare with that program, but you say he opposed bigger government? The only reason it looks like Bush opposed bigger government is because he was succeeded by the biggest socialist since FDR. And that's saying something.

As I understand it, George Bush didn't create the Medicare or Social Security programs. As for a majority of it happening under Bush, did you forget to check out the years when Clinton was president?

The fact is JOEY, Medicare and Social Security are non-partisan ponzi-scheme set up by the government, and by Democrats if you want to get all nit-picky like we know you do. Both programs are in deep doo-doo, and people like you that try to turn it into some partisan hack-job argument aren't doing anything but adding to the noise. You are a pot-stirrer, who just likes to yap on and on.

The federal government makes a mess out of everything they touch, because when the government gets involved, they introduce politics. So certain parties get their favors, while other parties get the shaft. Waste, fraud and abuse is a given for anything the government gets involved in, and the health care takeover is no different. And it makes no difference which party is in power when. Even a goofball like you should know that. Are you trying to say that Democrats are angels?

  5. John-john, wow your en fuego today. And to think Brian calls me

Lets start with paragraph two. I didn't attack Homosexuals. I said that what you and Chris were doing was homoerotic, that is....

    1. Of or concerning homosexual love and desire.
    2. Tending to arouse such desire.

that wasn't an attack on anyone but you and he, unless you are homosexual, which i was saying your actions showed it. I was then right wasn't I. But since it has apparently given you the wrong impression, i wish to apologise for it.

paragraph three. Attacking me doesn't make Brian right. As far as refering to opposition to government i am in fact referring to platforms, perceptions and the general stereotype of opposition to big government. i like this quote by chomsky

"There are no conservatives in the United States. The United States does not have a conservative tradition. The people who call themselves conservatives, like the Heritage Foundation or Gingrich, are believers in -- are radical statists. They believe in a powerful state, but a welfare state for the rich."

  6. Joey - Point is, you are always "off topic", a point you just admitted to, idiot. What exactly WAS your point to insinuate homoeroticism, other than to try to immaturely belittle? Aw, Joey, you are such a hypocrite, it would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

And YOU attacking Brian also doesn't make YOU right. As for quotes, BFD. Confuscious say man who run in front of car get tired, but man who run behind car get exhausted. You have no point Joey, other than to try to stir up and agitate.

I like this quote by any sane person "Liberals are liars, racists, and they only care about themselves".

Joey, don't feel like you need to answer, nobody cares what you have to say. Especially since you are so concerned about staying "ON TOPIC", and my initial response was merely to point out what a ridiculous hypocrite you are, and I have demonstrated that thoroughly.

  7. Brian - Here is a very interesting article/opinion piece: The Rationing Commission
Meet the unelected body that will dictate future medical decisions.

Also, I hope you have gotten a chance to read this article; it's a couple of months old, but it is still very much worth the time to read:

  8. John,
if you didn't care why are so excited to respound to me even when i don't post to you? I recall posting to brian and you respounding. Guess you didn't care so why not post back. Right?

if you've proven anything its that you filled your head with fantasies of winning and proving things on the blogosphere. Let me give you alittle help there, even if it breaks your bubble. Nobody wins. everyone proves everyone is a hypocrite. You are, I am, Brian and bruce both are. Perhaps your righty buddies will give you virtual high fives and act like you "Won" but thats all it is, acting.

At the end of the day all that this is and i know it might be hard for you, but its only debate for the sake of reinforcing our own feelings. There are no independants here, only partisans arguing with closedminds. I've had mine much more open than yours, but you've walked right by those posts, constantly going back to "homoerotic" not content to see when i have given your side credit (check Mike Cox blog)only to continue to "prove things"

So go right ahead, probe things, ignore the obvious and be happy, cause your a walking talking living example of ignorance is blogosphere bliss.

  9. John, Joe loves calling other men gay. It is his MO. See John by Joe calling us gay makes him feel like less of a freak. It's like a man that cheats on his wife. He says everyone does it or at least most men. Joe is a product of the 80's were no matter what the argument was you just called the other person a gay wade and you win. So in closeing. JoeC I would have thought you'd like Cox if for names sake alone. Bwahahahaha

  10. Hey guys, no need to worry, our esteemed Senator, Debbie Stabenow, says "no state will benefit more than Michigan" from the Dem's proposed health care takeover. Boy, that's reassuring. That Senator Stabenow, she's a REAL REFORMER ...
Too bad she's not up for re-election next year !

  11. Awww little Joey, I just read your little note. I win all the time little guy, that's what gets your panties in a bunch. And we do actual high-fives, and laugh about you when we get together. My family laughs at you too, if that makes you feel any better! BWAAAAAHAHAHAHA

I like your little self-analysis about why you comment little Joey, but don't be projecting your neurosis on me! I know you get off on the abuse, like some sick puppy, so I'll just leave it at that. You've never proven me, Chris or Brian to be a hypocrite Joey, so don't figure us into your sick little club. You just go on back to steaming like the angry little man that you are!! BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHA

I'm laughing at you Joey, you angry little guy. I hope you don't take it out on your wife.

  12. Brian - Stabby needs to go NOW. Can you believe this, from that article you linked to: Asked how Congress expects to pay for it, Stabenow said by focusing on overpayments in the system, fraudulent practices and having insurance companies contribute.

Having insurance companies contribute... sounds like rates will be going up for me!!

What a boondoggle. Stabby is the BITCH who introduced the legislation to block the Medicare cuts that Baucus' bill took into account with the CBO, effectively cancelling any potential savings (although Congress has yet to make the cuts that are already due) and performing the standard Democrat shell game with the CBO. These liberals and Democrats are nothing but liars making a power grab. Sickening that they don't even hide that fact anymore. Simply brazen.
